MZL and Novatech TrafficStatistic
MZL and Novatech TrafficStatistic service reads the user's ethernet packages and allows to see the amount of traffic consumed as an icon in the system tray. So a user, who pays a volume based fee or has a tariff with a volume limit is always aware, how much volume is already used in a bill period.Furthermore the user is able to see which hosts, services or ports were the top traffic consumers. MZL and Novatech TrafficStatistic provides easily configurable reports in HTML format showing what was the traffic used for. MZL and Novatech TrafficStatistic works on IP packet level, therefore the user will be able to get reports on all the traffic, regardless weather this traffic was made by a browser, a filesharing software or a secure connection. Of course, the user can decide not to collect data about it's local intranet traffic and filter such traffic out. MZL and Novatech TrafficStatistic can be useful for many diffrent people: - broadband (like DSL or cable) users with a volume metered charge plan have always an eye on the currently accumulated consumed volume. - internet users with a flatrate can see which cheaper volume limited tariff might be appropriate for their consume habbits - internet users are able to see, which services cause the most traffic - internet users are able to see, how much traffic was consumed with their top target hosts Especially useful it can be for volume tariffed server owner in internet running other services then a webserver. The statistics will make it possible for the server owner to get more detailed information of what he is paying for. Useful it may also be to track the internet usage in a company, where outgoing internet access is not limited to proxy connections.
